The National Crappie League (NCL) is coming to Patoka Lake for a two-day Division I national qualifier, which will be held on April 26th and 27th, 2024. The tournament is hosted by Dubious County Tourism and will offer a minimum prize of $10,000.00, as well as the opportunity to qualify for the 2024-25 National Championship. Division I tournaments are open to everyday anglers who have not earned $5,000.00 as an individual or $10,000.00 as a team in the last two years while fishing one of the national trails.

The entry fee for the tournament is $300.00, with the big fish fee already included. The tournament guarantees a minimum payback of $10,000.00 and 100% payback of all entries. The big fish pot will be split 70/30.

Contingencies prizes of $200.00 will be paid to the top Male/Female, top Adult/Youth, and top Senior (60 & over) teams.  There is also a $500.00 contingency prize for the team that is using multi-poles (slow trolling or pushing/pulling).

To participate, anglers must be members of NCL, which costs $50.00 per member. A late registration fee of $25.00 will apply if the team has not registered by midnight on April 21, 2024.

Late registration and the pre-tournament meeting will be held on April 25th, 2024, at the Days Inn located at 272 Brucke Strasse, Jasper, IN. Late registration will be open from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the meeting starting at 6:00 PM.

Anglers will fish from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM and must be in the weigh-in line by 3:30 PM. They may fish all legal waters on Patoka Lake, but the off-water limit is 4:00 PM on April 25th, 2024, the day of the pre-tournament meeting.

The National Crappie League will hold a free kids’ fishing rodeo on April 27th, 2024, at Hoosier Hills Marine, 10306 E Lick Fork Marina Rd, Celestine, IN. Kids may register from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and fish from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Awards and prizes will be presented after the event.

The host hotels for the tournament are the Days Inn 812-482-6000 and the Hampton Inn 812-482-1888.
